چکیده

Enniatins are so-called “emerging mycotoxins” that commonly occur in milligrams per kilogram levels grains and their derived products, as well fish, dried fruits, nuts, spices, cocoa, coffee. The present study investigated the 28-day repeated oral dose toxicity of enniatin complex CD1(ICR) mice. Enniatin B, B1, A1 at a ratio 4:4:1 were administered to male female mice doses 0 (vehicle controls), 0.8, 4, 20 mg/kg body weight/day. In life parameters did not change during period, with exception slight reductions food consumption 4 mg/kg. Body organ weights change, no alterations hematology, blood biochemistry, or histopathology observed end administration period. Thus, we determined no-observed-adverse-effect level was mg/kg/day for both sexes under experimental conditions.

The consumption and production of bismuth are increasing, however there is very little information about the direct toxic effect of bismuth. The present study aimed to characterize the potential toxic effects of bismuth through oral administration and observation for fourteen days following single dose of 0 and 2,000 mg/kg (acute oral toxicity study), and repeated oral administration for twenty...

A 28-day oral dose toxicity study enhanced to detect endocrine effects of hexabromocyclododecane in Wistar rats.

A 28-day repeated dose study in rats (OECD407) enhanced for endocrine and immune parameters was performed with hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD). Rats were exposed by daily gavage to HBCD dissolved in corn oil in 8 dose groups with doses ranging between 0 and 200 mg/kg bw per day (mkd). Evaluation consisted of dose-response analysis with calculation of a benchmark dose at the lower 95% one-sided co...
